Synopsis: When police arrest a man for questioning over his neighbour's murder, investigating cop Beatrice Kenosha (Jenny Agutter) enters a period of dark fascination with the mysterious stranger and his entangled, suppressed past - but only after he escapes her custody. It emerges, when he's on the run, that suspect John Spears (Paul Conway) had been living as a recluse, shutting out the world and his tortured memories of a lost love. Sound Design. The sound design for this film took us from recording ADR to final mix. Working closely with composer Mark White the final soundtrack is a good example of the way sound, music and and visuals can be meshed and interlinked to enhance the storytelling. We wanted the film to have a real classic thriller aspect. One of the ways to do that was to play with naturalistic atmospheres and give them elements that would begin to put the audience on edge . It has become an in- joke here now but theree is also a dripping tap that we're particularly proud of.. Music We can't take credit for this score but much respect to our friend and colleague Mark White. The music is a very organic affair. Real strings, real drums, guitars played by Mark and guitar solos improvised by Justin . Featuring the Vocal talents of Susie Sanderson. Final Mix. The sound edit for No. No. 2 took a considerable amount of time to achieve. Usually the different sound jobs would be split amongst a team but this was a low budget film so it made sense to keep it simple and be patient. We did put together the 'committee' for the final mix though. Director Neil Wassell, Composer Mark White, Sound Supervisor Justin Bryant, Musician Mark Narayan and AD Tim Brown got together - played the film Stills Gallery.
